Kit’s eyes grew sencere as she gave a bow of respect to the grave site. As the
kitsune stood straight, a thought came to her mind and she smirked mischeviously. Chai
noticed the odd glint in her eyes and realized right away what Kit was planning. "Dont
even joke around, Kit..." She warned her, gliding over to Kit and perching on her
shoulder.
Kit gave a quick glance from the grave stone to Chai. "Dream orbs and spirit orbs
arent that different, right?" She asked, then her gaze returned onto the grave. The name
had been weathered away, leaving a breif indent in the stone. Kit sat on her knees, staring
at the grave. Even now, she could feel the presence of spirits.
Startled that her thoughts were right, Chai snorted. "Extremely different!" She
cried, and jumped off Kit’s shoulder to in front of her face. "You cant practice on this."
The kitsune gentally shoved Chai out of her way and placed her paws over the
grave stone, both paws quickly admitting a blue glow. "Kitsumi," Kit’s ears swiveled at
the sound of her full name, "damn it, your not listening to me!" Her eyes shifted to look
nervously around her. "We’re meddling in whats not our business!" Chai’s warnings
werent heard by the kitsune who was trying hard to concentrate. "Kit--!" Her cries were
cut off as a strong blast of wind rushed through the trees, making a loud rustling sound
echo throughout the forest.
The small creature pumped her wings hard to stay where she was. The wind
current was moving away from the gravesite. "Kit! Stop it now!!" Chai struggled to make
her voice heard over the roaring wind.
Kit’s teeth gritted together as her eyes shrunk into pin points, not feeling herself.
As much as she wanted to heed Chai’s instructions, her paws wouldnt move away.
Suddenly, Kit’s eyes widened and her spine straightened, a strong chill rushing up her
spine. Her mouth dropped as the air was sucked out of her lungs, and she struggled for a
breath of air.
Chai’s eyes narrowed in anger that Kit didnt listen to her the first time. Forcing her
tail to harden for battle, she tried hard to gain speed against the wind. She turned sharply,
allowing her tail to snap across Kit’s back, snapping her halfway back to reality.
The wind started to die down and the kitsune’s eyelids drooped. Her paws stayed
in front of her as if they were frozen. A few seconds went by after the wind calmed, Kit
gasped loudly, trying to fill her lungs with as much air as it would allow. Panting heavily,
she winced and gave a small whimper as a pounding headache pulsed.
Chai glided over to Kit’s face, landing softly on the top of the grave stone.
Glaring, she explained. "I -told- you: They arent at all the same in any prospect! If you try
to resurect a spirit it will take its chance to try and invade the resurector’s body! They
want to be freed! To be alive again!"
Kit felt entirely stupid that she didnt think of that before. Of course if you die you
would want to become alive again. She whimpered again and tilted her head downwards.
"I’m sorry..."
The creature sighed softly through her nose, "Its fine..." Chai eyed a leave that
pushed itself along with the help of the wind and she shuttered. "Lets get out of here..."
Kit nodded softly, morphing into her fox form and stood to her paws. She lept
playfully over the gravestone, following Chai out of the site. "... What’re we having for
dinner?" She cried, feeling a surge of starvation rush over her.
Chai sighed. "You just went over that ordeal and all you can think about is
food...?"
Ignoring the scepticism in Chai's voice, Kit muttered under her breath, "Where did i put my coconut...?"
